Social Media Strategies: Send Scheduled Tweets Using TweetDeck and Hootsuite 

A class presented in collaboration with Ruth Hartmann. September 10, 1:30 to 4:30 PM.

Twitter is growing by 300,000 new followers a day. It is a social media tool that can’t be ignored. Whether you’re new to Twitter or a regular user, this class will help you maximize your efforts to make contacts and grow your business.

The first part of the class will cover the dos and don’ts of Twitter and an explanation of how to create scheduled tweets in both TweetDeck and Hootsuite. In the second part of the class, we’ll break into groups and brainstorm tweets, and then actually schedule them! Our aim is to have you walk out with 10-20 scheduled tweets. Please bring your laptop.

Modern Manners for Modern Children Etiquette class

October 2, 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, open to children ages 6 to 11 years old

This class is a fun and educational etiquette program that teaches the social skills and table manners that will help your children become polite, confident and self-assured young ladies and young men. The two hour class will cover introductions and handshakes, thank you notes, how to properly set a table, which utensil to use, eating certain foods and table manners.

The program includes a three-course etiquette lunch.

Location: Preservation Kitchen – 17121 Bothell Way Northeast, Bothell.

Tuition: $69 per child, which includes handouts, a three-course lunch tutorial and a certificate of completion. Can’t make this time or location? This class can also be taught to your group of ten or more children at your location.
